Pho Viet Nam

Overview

Pho Viet Nam located at 1243 Avenue U, Brooklyn, NY 11229, is a delightful spot that brings the authentic taste of Vietnamese cuisine to the heart of Brooklyn. With its cozy atmosphere, welcoming staff, and an impressive menu featuring traditional dishes, this restaurant quickly stands out among the growing number of eateries in the area. Whether you're a local resident or just visiting the neighborhood, Pho Viet Nam offers an experience that is both satisfying and memorable.

One of the main highlights at Pho Viet Nam is, of course, the pho itself. Their signature pho is a flavorful, steaming bowl of broth filled with tender noodles and an array of options for protein, from juicy slices of beef to chicken and tofu. The broth is the star of the dish-rich, aromatic, and perfectly balanced, with just the right amount of spice. What sets this pho apart from others in the area is the consistency of the flavors, a direct result of the chef's attention to detail. The herbs and fresh vegetables served on the side enhance the dish, allowing you to adjust the taste to your liking.

Beyond pho, the menu at Pho Viet Nam features a range of other traditional Vietnamese dishes. Bun cha, a popular noodle dish, is another favorite. The grilled pork is served over vermicelli noodles with fresh herbs and a tangy dipping sauce that ties everything together. The crispy spring rolls, served with a side of sweet chili sauce, are also a must-try, perfectly complementing the other dishes on the menu. For those who enjoy a bit of heat, the spicy noodle soups are highly recommended. The variety ensures there's something for everyone, whether you're a fan of lighter dishes or craving something with a bit more intensity.

The ambiance of Pho Viet Nam is both casual and inviting, making it a great spot for both quick lunches and relaxed dinners. The restaurant's decor reflects traditional Vietnamese aesthetics, with subtle touches that make the dining experience feel authentic. The staff is friendly and efficient, always willing to offer recommendations if you're unsure about what to order.

What makes Pho Viet Nam stand out even more is its commitment to using fresh, high-quality ingredients. The vegetables are always crisp, and the meats are cooked to perfection. The kitchen is open, so diners can see the chefs at work, which adds to the overall experience. It's clear that the restaurant prides itself on delivering the freshest and most authentic flavors possible.

As a local who visits Pho Viet Nam regularly, I can confidently say that this place has become a staple in my dining routine. Whether you’re a pho lover or new to Vietnamese cuisine, this restaurant offers a fantastic introduction to the rich flavors of the region. The portion sizes are generous, and the prices are reasonable, making it a great choice for anyone looking to enjoy a satisfying meal without breaking the bank.

This is my favorite local pho spot. The staff is friendly and the space is clean and open. I sometimes come in just for a Vietnamese iced coffee, which is $5.50. The pho averages 16 a bowl. The pho is very good. It is a good portion size and the broth is rich and flavorful. They have all the versions of pho- tripe, beef balls, etc. The fried spring rolls are delicious also. This spot is very good for a very good bowl of pho.

Just delicious stable Vietnamese food around this area. Nothing special about the atmosphere as it's similar to most Vietnamese restaurants but I love their services. I came by recently with an hangry pregnant friend and I've called them to see if they had an available table as we were nearby and wanted to see if they can prep our food prior to our arrival so we could have our order close/by the time we get there. They were able to accommodate and they were very considerate, they saw that we had our baby with us and they brought our bowls for babies and food scissors. Truly grateful and would definitely come back in the future.

I’ve been ordering from here for a while and the food is typically very good. I notice that occasionally the sizing is off but it’s usually not the case.

This was my first time ever having Vietnamese food, and they did not disappoint! I ordered the chicken pho, pork banh mi, and their coconut cream iced coffee. All sensational but I recommend the pork banh mi the most. You can really see how traditional they are with the atmosphere too, with various statues to traditional Vietnamese deities. The service was also very efficient and friendly, so tip them well! Overall, a place I hope to come back to very soon :)

I didn't try the pho so I didn't know how tasty of the soup base. I tried grilled chicken bun instead. The chicken tastes a little bit dry and mild but overall it still tastes good with the fish sauce.

This Vietnamese restaurant was truly a pleasure to visit. The service was warm and attentive, with a staff that was both friendly and efficient. The food was excellent flavorful, fresh, and beautifully presented. Prices were very reasonable, and the cozy, family friendly atmosphere made it a welcoming neighborhood spot. I’ll definitely be returning!
